Report : National Gallery of Indonesia held a “Woodcut” Graphic Art Workshop

National Gallery of Indonesia, The Directorate General of culture, the Ministry of Education and Culture has succesfully deploying  a “Woodcut” Graphic Art Workshop for junior and high school students in Jabodetabek area on April 15 2014 ago as one of their educational programs.

The workshop is a part of National Gallery’s Coaching and Education Programs in an effort to spread and enhance the creativity and art appreciation  among students. During the 2014 GNI has organized two previous activities for this program in the form of fine art seminar. First activity is a National Gallery’s Coaching and Education Programs Malang on February 27, 2014, held at Aula Fakultas Sastra (AFA), Gd. E6 Lt.2 Universitas Negeri Malang and the second is National Gallery’s Coaching and Education Programs Tasikmalaya on March 27, 2014 held at Aula Desain Komunikasi Visual, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 3 (SMKN 3) Tasikmalaya.

The  “Woodcut” Graphic Art Workshop was held at Multipurpose room of Gallery National of Indonesia at  Jl. Medan Merdeka Timur No.14 Jakarta Pusat -10110, attended by more than 100 participants coming from some junior and high school around Jabodetabek area.

The event was inaugurated by the Head of the National Gallery of Indonesia , Drs. Tubagus Sukmana, M.Ikom, take place from 10: 00 am EST consists of 3 series of events as follows:

  • “Woodcut” Graphic Art Workshop
  • The screening of the documentary video/film of Indonesia Fine Art and profile of GNI
  • GALNAS Edu Corner

Attend as speaker are :

  • Syaiful Ardiyanto  (Visual art practitioner)
  • Ady Oi Rasstya  (Visual art practitioner)
  • Iman Hartono  (Visual art practitioner)

The eventclosed with the submission of certificates and souvenirs to the speakers and participants symbolically.

Acara ditutup dengan Penyerahan sertifikat dan cinderamata kepada narasumber dan peserta secara simbolik.

At the same time, in the National Gallery of Indonesia also still ongoing art exhibition works of art teacher of culture "Art Teacher Ran" that will ends on April 28, 2014.
